Robert J. Stanis (Bob),(1948-2007)
Sr. Consulting Engineer |
Our good friend and colleague, Bob Stanis passed away suddenly on March 23, 2007. He was a devoted employee of Polytechnic for the past 27 years. Bob obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1971. He had been employed as a research laboratory engineer with Universal Oil Products and worked 8 years with the Bepex Corporation in various engineering and managerial positions. Since joining Polytechnic in 1980, he conducted well over 500 accident and forensic investigations. He was a member of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the National Fire Protection Association, the American Society of Safety Engineers, the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers, the Society of Plastics Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical;Engineers and other associations. Bob was a fine engineer and worked on many diverse projects for a variety of clients over the years. Bob had a wry sense of humor, and always kept a positive attitude in his work. All of the Polytechnic family, past and current, will miss Bob very much, and together with his wife Diane and his two sons, Eric and Chris, will remember him fondly. |
